I finally caved today and got myself a Macbook Pro! GAH! I'm so excited - fortunately my brother could get a discount on Final Cut Studio for me (I was SQUEEEEING for about an hour) and so far have managed to figure out a few bits and bobs on it! Thank you so much for these wonderful tuts Elvria! I would be completely lost without them!

I use Final Cut Pro but I am very familiar with Sony Vegas 8.0, Adobe Premire Elements, Ulead Video Studio and WMM

And you'll be using Final Cut Studio? That is so awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing what videos you make! And be sure to check out the HD tutorials for Final Cut—HD on a Mac is easier (in my opinion) and the quality looks great!

My editing software is Final Cut Pro, but I have a familiarity with Sony Vegas, Ulead VideoStudio, and Premiere Elements.

I am so excited to have found this forum. I am a complete newbie. I have wanted to learn video editing for a few years, but everything I saw on it was so technical and I just didn't understand it. I have a early 2006 Intel Mac, running Tiger 10.4, and bought Final Cut Express which has just been sitting on the shelf. I think with some of what I am able to glean from the Foolish Passions website and this user forum, I might finally be able to do somethings... a secret passion I have had. Now I can finally learn how to actually use Handbrake, MpegStreamClip and many other programs properly. Thank you so much!
