Thanks so much for organising the steps in editing in this way - I was just wondering if the JES Video Cleaner was used on freshly made clips or was best kept till exporting. Now I know!

No Windows version of JES Video Cleaner, sorry! But Mac users are better suited waiting to clean their finished video, rather than each individual clip. (I've tried it that way. BIG hassle, so not worth it.)

I only starting using Final Cut a few months ago and yes it is one hell of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it you'll never go back Took me a while to learn but just play around with all the settings- and of course there are all the wonderful vidders here to help you just like they helped me! Have fun with your Mac too- they are fantastic!

Congratulations, both of you, on your Mac and Final Cut purchases! We've got a little Final Cut tutorial here, which also has links to other Final Cut tutorials: fpvideos.proboards60.com/index.cgi?board=tutorials2&action=display&thread=237 I am totally entrenched in Final Cut, and although I've enjoyed learning the other software out there, and think that a lot of it is just great for fan videos, I always return to Final Cut! (There's just nothing else like LiveType out there, I've found . . . ;D )

I am glad to hear such positive things about Final Cut and I can't wait to start playing - I must confess that all my vidding friends adore Vegas and while I love the interface, it had got to the point where I had to render my project in 10 sec segments so it wouldn't crash. Thanks for the tute link Elvira - I am working my way through all of them at the moment.
